Sri Sathya Sai Seva Kshetra , Mysore, observed Swami’s Aradhana Saptaha from 17th to 24th, April 2016 as an humble offering to our beloved Bhagavan. The programme was first of its kind in mysore where each day started with Omkar/ Suprabhatam and Nagarasankeetan from 5: 30 Am to 6:30 Am followed by Sai Bhajans from 6:30 Pm to 7:00 Pm and special programme from 7:00Pm to 8:00Pm throughout saptaha
Programme Highlights:
Day-1-Shri S. A Ramdas , Ex MLA and Medical Education Minister inaugurated the saptaha programme and lauded swami’s drinking water/Super Specialty hospital projects as one of the finest services offered to mankind.
Day-2 – Shri Nitin Rajaram Shastry, renowned Hindustani singer presented a classical musical concert and devotees were enthralled with this soulful rendering. Shri Parameshwar Hedge accompanied the singer on tabla.
Day-3- This day was observed as Mahila day with Bhajans lead from mahila teams followed by invited speech from Smt Vani Santhosh, speaker , Radiosai on the “Human Mind and its Control”
Day-4 – A video presentation on swami’s various projects such as drinking water project at Anantpur, Super Specialty hospital project , Bengaluru, Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini project was presented.
Day-5– Shri Sai Kiran and Shri Prahalad former students of Sathya sai School, invited as speakers shared their joyful experiences with swami
Day-6-This day was observed as balvikas guru’s day and bhajans were sung from gurus followed by cultural programmes from balavikas children which included veda chanting/ Bharatanatyam/ Bhagavadgeetha sloka recitation/ singing daasara keertane.
Day-7-Shri Saswarupanda from Shri Ramakrishna Matt, mysore invited as guest speaker presented a spiritual discourse.
Day-8-The day started with veda chanting for about an hour followed by swami’s paduke Pooja. Rathothsava with swami’s chariot was taken around Sathya Sai seva skhetra for about an hour with vedam chanting/ Bhajan singing/ Pakka vadhya. Balavikas children displayed placards of swami’s quotations during procession. The saptaha concluded with Mahanarayan seva mahaprasadam distribution to over 500 narayanas.
