The national programme of SWACHHATHA SE DIVYATA TAK was launched at Sai Gitanjali, JP Nagar on 16-10-2016 at 9.30am. The program was conducted strictly according to the guidelines of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, India.

The program started with the lighting of the lamp in front of Bhagawan’s photo and Mahatma Gandhi ji’s photo in the main mandir hall of Sai Gitanjali.

This was followed by singing the famous song ‘Vaishnava Janato Kene Kahiye’ so dear to Mahatma Gandhiji, led by Sri. Mathur and accompanied by Sri. Prajeet and Sri. Sudeep. Next, the sarva dharma song ‘Om Tat Sat Sri Narayana’ was sung by the entire gathering.

The convener of Sai Gitanjali then read out sayings from Bhagawan and Gandhiji as a tribute to them for their guidance to mankind on the importance of cleanliness.

Dr. Aswath quoted the following from Bhagawan and Gandhiji:

Baba says:
“To the extent possible, take part in the work of the Sai organization. Today there is no nobler work in the world.

I shall not speak about the numerous other organisations in the world. But the purity that obtains in the Sai organisations cannot be found anywhere else…So far as our organisation is concerned the watch word always is “Help! Help! Help! Serve! Serve! Serve!” This is the primary aim.

Cleanliness is next to Godliness”.

Gandhiji says:
“When God is our guide, we need not worry about anything. When all forsakes you, God shall still be with you.

If the inside is clean, the outside is bound to be so

There is not a single moment in life when man cannot serve

When there is both inner and outer cleanliness, it approaches Godliness”.

After this, the entire gathering of gents and ladies went down to the annexe of Sai Gitanjali where they registered themselves and scarfs and badges were given to them.

The number of devotees who attended the event is as follows:
