Loving Sai Ram,

As part of the National Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyothi Project, the yearly Sri Vidya Ganapathi Mahotsava celebration at Sri Sangameshwara Vidyala, Byrasandra was conducted on Wed Sep 6th 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:30am with the active participation of members and devotees of Sai Gitanjali, JP Nagar.

The program included lighting of Jyothi, Veda and shloka chanting by the school children.  The Welcome address was given by the school headmaster- Sri. Palanethra Sir. He mentioned that this program was started since the inception of the school 38 years ago and the association of this school with the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization happened 30 years back with the Grace and Blessings of Bhagawan Baba who showered bountifully on the school.

This was followed by a few words about the objective of the program by the Convener of Sai Gitanjali.  Dr. H.S Aswath mentioned the importance of the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyothi National Project and the purpose of this program in propagating and promoting Bhagawan Baba’s ideals of Human Values to the school children in their impressionable young age when it can bring about transformation in them, in character building and also bring about development of their intellectual acumen.

He specially mentioned about the great strides the school has made in every facet of their activities which is visible in the discipline, quality of education and the excellent standards of students’ performance in their studies. In addition, the children have excelled in the area of sports activities also.

He congratulated the students and their teachers in organizing the Sri Vidya Ganapathi Celebrations in a magnificent manner and the way the altar had been built with the portrayal of deities as a regular temple.

In this effort not only the teachers and students made effort to build the temple-like structure, but even the old students had put in their best efforts.

It is heartening to mention that the children of the school have learnt the Vedic mantras and they did the entire pooja to Lord Ganapathi, Shiva, Parvathi, Shirdi Sai and Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. They also did the Sankalpa for all present and prayed for their well-being.

The program concluded with Mahamangalarthi and Prasadam distribution to 300 students and others present for the occasion.
