As part of  Bhagawan’s 90th Birthday celebrations, to thank the yeomen service rendered by “Poura Karmikas”(BBMP Street Cleaners) who tirelessly keep our City clean, day in and day out, “Sai Darshan” (Indiranagar Samithi) members felicitated around 300 men and women workers on 01.11.2015 ..Kannada Rajyothsava day.

The programme commenced at 10:30am on the first floor of Sai Darshan with an introductory talk by Sri.Rajendra, an young active member of  Indiranagar Samithi, who addressed the workers in flawless Kannada (which was again translated in Telugu by Sri.Murali Tatiraju for the benefit of mostly Telugu speaking workers). On behalf of all members of the society residing in Indiranagar area Sri.Rajendra expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to all Poura Karmikas for the tireless work they do every day.

Acharya Rakum who runs the “Rakum Blind School” in Indiranagar and few other places in the city was the guest of honour. He spoke few words expressing his appreciation for the work rendered by the Karmikas. Thirty Students of “Rakum Blind School” also took part in the event.

Each of the women workers was given a Saree and blouse piece and men folk were given a set of Pant & shirt pieces.

The programme  concluded with Aarthi to Bhagawan at around 12:30pm.

The Karmikas were served sumptuous lunch.
