The National Project of the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyothi program by Sai Gitanjali, JP Nagar was held at the NSVK Kannada Primary School in Jayanagar 7th blk on Wednesday 12th July 2017 between 10:30am and 12 noon.
The program commenced at 10:30 am with the lighting of the Jyothi, invocation and pooja.
The program included welcome address by school staff, explaining the objective of the program. Next scholarships were distributed to 25 students of the school.
Dr. Aswath, Convenor Sai Gitanjali, highlighted the objective of the program – “Inspiring children by Empowering Schools”. He mentioned that 900 schools have been adopted all over India covering all the states to promote Bhagawan’s ideals of human values and character building in educational institutions.
Next, Dr. Rajashree Devarakonda, Vice President from Voisin Consulting Life Sciences and Sai Gitanjali member mentioned the importance of service activities by providing help to the community and educational institutions.
It is worth mentioning that at this school many other activties like Bal Vikas classes, teaching English to the students and conducting computer classes have also started with the active participation of the members and youth wing of other samithi’s in the South Bangalore district.
Prasadam was then distributed to nearly 200 students who had assembled in this program.
