Loving Pranams at the Lotus Feet of Bhagawan,
The 20th Global Akhanda Bhajan was held at Sai Gitanjali, JP Nagar, starting on Nov 12th 2016 (Sat, 6pm) and ending on Nov 13th 2016 (Sun, 6pm) for 24 hours.

All the samithi’s, bhajan mandali’s of the nearby South Bangalore district took active part. The Brindavan bhajan singers also participated. Bhajans were also sung from the Pandit Puttaraj Gawai Trust for the disabled, who took active part as in the earlier years.

It is heartening to mention that the senior office bearers at the District level, State level, Trust members of the Sri Sathya Sai Trust Karnataka and Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust also participated.

The Bal Vikas children, Gurus and Parents from Sai Gitanjali and also from other samithi’ like Arekere were present in large numbers and rendered very melodious and soul stirring bhajans.

The attendance in the beginning was about 230 and at the conclusion was 500. The devotees were seated not only in the main mandir hall but also overflowed into the library where suitable seating accommodation was provided.

The program started with the chanting of Omkar, Gayathri mantra and the Vedas for nearly 20 mins. Next the auspicious lighting of the lamps was performed to the singing of ‘Akhanda Jyothi Jalao’ bhajan in unison. This was followed by a Ganesh bhajan to commence the start of the 24 hours bhajan.

On Nov 13th early morning, there was Omkar and Suprabhatam. This was followed by Nagar sankirtan which was performed by one group of devotees for almost an hour, while bhajans continued in the main mandir hall.

Adequate arrangements had been made regarding the hospitality for all the devotees for the entire duration of 24 hours. It is worth mentioning that the Sri Sathya Sai Literature Dissemination centre was open for devotees to make purchases. The clothes stitched by the students of Sai Gitanjali tailoring section were put on display.

With the infinite Grace and Blessings of Bhagawan Baba the entire program went off very well in a spirit of close cooperation by all the members present.

The program came to a close on the 13th Nov at 6pm with the offering of Maha Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan Baba, which filled the entire mandir with powerful spiritual vibrations and the devotees
left the mandir with a great sense of fulfilment.
