Sairam. On 19th Aug 19 relief items supplied in village Nersa (55 kms from Belagavi) to villagers of Gawali & Pastoli. These people have walked 2 1/2 hrs thro thick jungle on muddy track for 16 kms, as they were cut off by floods. No electricity for last 20 days, no mobile charging ( charging was done for initial few days on motorcycle batteries), no drinking water, cooking of only rice(which was in stock) was done using muddy flow water. No vegetables, other spices, grains etc. Fields(only source of income) flooded with surround sand We were very much moved by their plight. Testing times, yet they appeared cheerful. Later visited Village Ashoknagar school.
Hot Cooked pulav with pickle given to all 91 people.
