Dharwar, the cultural heart of Karnataka, added to its distinction when Sri Sathya Sai Mahila College was started with the Blessings of Bhagwan Baba Varu.

During His Divine Visit  to Northern Karnataka in 1968, which Sri.Kasturi described as “Anand yatra of Amarapuri”, moved by the devotion of people of North Karnataka Districts, Bhagwan decided that a campus for Mahila Education should be established there. A committee headed by Dr.A.S.Adike, former Vice Chancellor of Karnataka University was formed.  Ministry of Railways kindly allotted 10 acres of land through Govt. of Karnataka to Sri Sathya Sai Educational Society, formed for this purpose.  Bhagwan visited  Sai Charan on 8.3.1974. It was a proud moment for the people of North Karnataka.

At the request of its members and devotees, to further develop the land properly into a full fledged educational complex, Sri Sathya Sai Educational Society handed over the entire land of 10 acres and buildings to Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust in June 2015. Bhoomi Puja was performed on 27.10.2015 and work commenced for the construction of School, College and Hostel Buildings. SSSCT allotted Rs.7 crores towards the construction. Management of the Education Complex was handed over to Sri Sathya Sai Education Trust, Karnatka.
