19th Anniversary of Sai Gitanjali Samithi in J P Nagara, Bengaluru South District was celebrated on two days on May 27th and 28th 2016.
Happy to recount that Sai Gitanjali was opened and blessed by our most beloved Bhagawan on May 28th 1997. Further, Swami also blessed Sai Gitanjali with His Divine Visit once again on the 1st Anniversary on 28th May 1998. Thereafter, for many years He gave opportunity for the devotees to celebrate the Anniversary in His presence in Brindavan.
The special Programmes this year were –
Friday, 27th May Morning : ( At four locations)
Location 1 – 08:00 am : Extending Support in Vastra Danam to Staff of Sri Sathya Sai Gokulam Canteen, Whitefield, Sri Sathya Sai Gokulam Guest House, Whitefield and Sri Sathya Sai Vruddhashrama, Whitefield.
Location 2 – 09:00 am Donation of kitchen vessels to the Sevadal Canteen at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences (SSSIHMS), Whitefield.
Location 3 – 11.00 am Bhajans by Sai Gitanjali Mahila Team at the Belaku Vruddhashrama, Jayanagar 9th Block and Distribution of Sai Protein food to the inmates and Nama Likhita Japa books, followed by Narayana Seva to the inmates
Location 4 – 11.00 am Balvikas Team of Sai Gitanjali visited “PRASANNA JYOTHI” – A HOME for the HOMELESS” located at Puttenahalli,
J.P. Nagar, 7th Phase and did Bhajans followed by Vastradanam, Mangalarathi and Maha Prasada Vinayoga to the inmates..
In the evening of 27th, at Sai Gitanjali all groups of singers participated in large numbers. At 6:00 pm Omkaram, Brahma Gayathri, Sai Gayathri were chanted followed with 9 times Parikrama of the Mandir, (while singing bhajans).
Saturday, 28th May 2016 the Programme was –
12.30 pm Maha Narayana Seva to about 700 patients and attendants at the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, EPIP Area, Whitefield, Bangalore
In the Evening (at Sai Gitanjali) the programme had Invocation – Lighting of Jyothi, Bhajans
Presentation of report on Activities of Sai Gitanjali by the Convenor Dr. H S Aswath Sir, Address by District President, Sri Sai Chandrasekhar Sir, Address by Chief Guest, Sri G. Venkatramana Sir, State Vice-President, SSSSO (Karnataka), Distribution of Certificates, Donation of tailoring machines to needy students. Sri Y.N.Gangadhara Setty Sir was the Guest of Honour who presided over the deliberations.
After Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr.T Devanathan Sir, Arathi was offered to Swamy. Devotees attended in large numbers.
