Loving Sai Ram,
The Sunday Narayana seva at Sai Gitanjali was started in 2009 by two youth, Murali Ravi and Nikhil, who subsequently became Sai students and pursued their education at Prasanthi Nilayam.
Every Sunday morning food for the Narayana Seva is cooked at various devotee houses and brought to Sai Gitanjali. The food is then packed by the youth and elders and made ready for distribution. After prayers, the food packets are distributed around South Bangalore to around 60 Narayana’s every Sunday.
This Sunday (11-06-2017) the program commenced at 9:20 am with the chanting of Sai Gayathri which was followed by a few bhajans. This was followed by a short talk by Sri. Suman Meka, District Youth Coordinator for South Bangalore. He said “Bhagawan says there is no English translation for Narayana Seva. Some call it as poor feeding, which is incorrect, because the process of feeding becomes poor, and some call it as feeding the poor, this is also incorrect because as per Bhagawan, one who has much desires is the poorest man and one who has contentment in life is the richest man, so one should question oneself as to whether one is poor or rich. So, Narayana seva is seva to the Lord”.
This was followed by Maha Mangalarathi and the commencement of the Narayana seva. Approximately 55 devotees participated.
