Sathya Sai devotees all over the world solemnly observe April 24th by remembering and practicing the teachings of Lord Sathya Sai. As part of the 7th Aradhana Mahotsavam the main focus was on the Maha Narayana Seva Prasadam distribution to 1,13,000 Narayanas acrosss the state.

Here is a chronological sequence of events leading to the actual Maha Prasada distribution.

1. Friday, 13th April 2018 – Flagging off the Narayana seva groceries.
The programme commenced with the flagging off of the Narayana seva groceries to feed 1,13,000 Narayanas to the districts of Karnataka. This took place at Sai Gitanjali just after 12.05pm. Senior office bearers, devotees and members of the Trust had assembled at Sai Gitanjali and offered their prayers to Bhagawan in the main mandir. The trucks were loaded with groceries and were flagged off after a traditional pooja to the trucks.

2. Monday, 23rd April 2018 – Maha Narayana Seva preparation for 25,000 Narayanas
The preparation of food was conducted at the Raya Raya Kalyana Mantapa on Pampa Mahakavi Road. The program commenced at 11.30am by receiving Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba Varu with Poornakumbam and Mangala Vadyam. This was followed by lighting of the lamp, Ganapathi pooja and Punyahavachana. Next, distribution of clothes to the cooks and workers. At around 12:45pm, the Agni Prajwalana (i.e lighting of cooking fire) was performed. Mahamangalarthi was the n offered to Bhagawan and the Maha Narayana seva preparation started.

3. Tuesday, 24th April 2018 – 7th Aradhana Mahotsavam- Maha Narayana Seva
As part of the Aradhana day Maha Prasadam was distributed across the state by many devotees, volunteers and seva dal. In Bangalore, distribution of the food started by about 6.00 am. The You Tube video link below shows glimpses of the Maha Narayana Seva (feeding of poor and needy) being performed across several districts of Karnataka as part of the Aradhana Day celebrations.
